International Journal of Health, Economics, and Social Science (IJHESS) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and publication ethics by ensuring that all submitted manuscripts are original and free from plagiarism. The journal strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism and unethical publication practices.
All manuscripts submitted to IJHESS are screened using plagiarism detection software before entering the peer-review process. The editorial team evaluates similarity reports to identify potential plagiarism, duplication, or inappropriate citation practices.
Forms of plagiarism considered unethical by IJHESS include:
Direct plagiarism (copying text without proper citation)
Self-plagiarism or duplicate publication
Paraphrasing without acknowledgment of sources
Data plagiarism or falsification
Unauthorized use of figures, tables, or research findings
Improper citation and referencing practices
Authors are responsible for ensuring that:
Submitted manuscripts are entirely original
All sources and references are properly cited
Quoted materials are clearly identified
The manuscript has not been published or submitted elsewhere simultaneously
Manuscripts found to contain significant plagiarism or unethical similarities may result in:
Immediate rejection during editorial screening
Request for revision and clarification
Retraction of published articles
Notification to affiliated institutions when necessary
IJHESS generally tolerates only a limited similarity index for non-substantive overlaps such as references, methodology descriptions, or standard terminology. However, editorial decisions regarding plagiarism are based not only on percentage similarity but also on the nature and context of the overlap.
Editors and reviewers are also encouraged to report suspected plagiarism or ethical misconduct during the review and publication process.
The publisher, Universitas Muhammadiyah Palu, and the editorial board of IJHESS are committed to upholding ethical publishing standards and ensuring the credibility, originality, and integrity of all published scientific works.
