All manuscripts submitted to International Journal of Health, Economics, and Social Science (IJHESS) undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, relevance, and scientific contribution. The journal applies a double-blind peer review system in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process.
The peer review process in IJHESS consists of the following stages:
Initial Submission
Authors submit manuscripts through the journal submission system in accordance with the journal’s author guidelines and manuscript template.
Editorial Screening
The editorial team conducts an initial evaluation to assess the manuscript’s suitability with the journal focus and scope, formatting requirements, academic writing standards, and plagiarism screening. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected before the review stage.
Reviewer Assignment
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who possess expertise relevant to the manuscript topic.
Double-Blind Peer Review
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several aspects, including:
Originality and novelty
Scientific contribution
Research methodology
Clarity and organization
Validity of data and analysis
Relevance of references
Ethical standards
Reviewers provide recommendations categorized as:
Accept without revision
Accept with minor revisions
Accept with major revisions
Reject
Revision Process
Authors are required to revise the manuscript according to reviewer and editor comments within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may undergo additional review if necessary.
Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision based on reviewer recommendations and the quality of the revised manuscript.
Copyediting and Publication
Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting, proofreading, layout editing, and final publication.
IJHESS is committed to maintaining transparency, confidentiality, objectivity, and ethical standards throughout the peer-review and publication process. The journal follows principles of academic integrity and publication ethics to ensure the quality and credibility of published articles.
