About the Journal

Media Publikasi Promosi Kesehatan Indonesia (MPPKI) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Muhammadiyah Palu, Indonesia. The journal is dedicated to the dissemination of scholarly work in the fields of health promotion, public health, and related interdisciplinary areas. MPPKI publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, and evidence-based studies that contribute to the advancement of public health knowledge, policy, and practice.

The journal provides an academic platform for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange ideas and empirical findings related to health promotion, health behavior, community empowerment, preventive health strategies, and public health interventions across diverse populations and settings. Emphasis is placed on methodological rigor, ethical research conduct, and the relevance of findings to contemporary public health challenges at local, national, and global levels.

MPPKI applies a double-blind peer review process, ensuring that all submitted manuscripts are evaluated objectively based on scientific merit, methodological soundness, originality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Editorial decisions are made independently and are not influenced by financial considerations or authors’ affiliations.

The journal adopts an open access publishing model, allowing all published articles to be freely and permanently accessible to readers worldwide. This policy supports the broad dissemination of knowledge and facilitates academic exchange without subscription barriers.

Since January 2022, MPPKI has been published monthly, issuing twelve editions per year. The journal is committed to maintaining consistency in publication frequency, transparency in editorial policies, and adherence to international standards of scholarly publishing.

As part of its commitment to academic integrity and sustainability, MPPKI implements clear policies on publication ethics, plagiarism screening, data integrity, correction and retraction procedures, responsible use of artificial intelligence in manuscript preparation, and long-term digital preservation.
