Media Publikasi Promosi Kesehatan Indonesia (MPPKI) recognizes the importance of ensuring the long-term accessibility and preservation of its published digital content. The journal is committed to implementing reliable digital preservation strategies to safeguard the availability and integrity of its scholarly materials.
The following measures are undertaken as part of the journal’s digital preservation policy:
- Website Archiving: All electronic content, including the journal’s website and published articles, is stored on three separate servers. The primary server hosts the online content accessible to readers, while two additional backup servers maintain secure copies. In the event of a server failure, one of the backup servers will be activated to restore access within 24–36 hours.
- Abstracting and Indexing Services: The journal collaborates with various indexing and abstracting services that archive essential metadata and, in some cases, the full electronic versions of published articles. These services provide alternative access points for the academic community.
- Self-Archiving Policy: Authors are permitted to archive the final published version of their articles in personal or institutional repositories immediately after publication, without any embargo period.
- Contingency in Case of Discontinuation: Should the journal cease publication, all published content will remain accessible to readers for a minimum period of 10 years. Additionally, content will be preserved through recognized digital archiving systems such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) to ensure permanent and secure archiving.
Through these preservation efforts, MPPKI is committed to safeguarding the scholarly record and ensuring continuous access to published research for future generations.
