Media Publikasi Promosi Kesehatan Indonesia (MPPKI) is committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility, integrity, and preservation of its published digital content. The journal applies appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard scholarly materials against data loss, system failure, or discontinuation.
The journal’s digital preservation strategy includes the following components:
- Website and Server Archiving: All electronic content, including published articles and journal metadata, is hosted on a primary server and supported by routine backup systems. Backup copies are maintained to reduce the risk of data loss and to enable content restoration in the event of technical disruption.
- Indexing and Abstracting Services: MPPKI is indexed in several abstracting and indexing services that preserve bibliographic metadata and, in some cases, provide long-term access to article records. These platforms serve as additional discovery and access points for published content.
- Self-Archiving and Repository Deposit: Authors are permitted to deposit the final published version of their articles in personal websites, institutional repositories, or other non-commercial repositories immediately after publication, in accordance with the journal’s open access and copyright policies.
- Long-Term Preservation and Continuity: In the event that the journal ceases publication, reasonable efforts will be made to ensure continued access to previously published content for a minimum period of ten (10) years. Where applicable, content may also be preserved through recognized distributed digital archiving systems such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe).
Through these measures, MPPKI seeks to maintain the continuity of the scholarly record and support long-term access to published research in health promotion and public health.
