Publication Ethics

Media Publikasi Promosi Kesehatan Indonesia (MPPKI) follows the ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal adheres to protocols for addressing research and publication misconduct and requires all articles involving human subjects to comply with the Declaration of Helsinki. Research involving animals must comply with the International Principles for Biomedical Research issued by CIOMS.


Research Ethics

All research involving human participants must include an ethical approval statement and informed consent. For animal research, compliance with institutional and national guidelines is mandatory, and efforts to minimize animal suffering should be declared.


Editorial Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the content published in MPPKI.
  • Guide authors in following the submission guidelines.
  • Assess manuscripts objectively without discrimination.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure a double-blind review process.
  • Address disputes and errors using COPE guidelines.

Reviewers' Responsibilities

  • Provide constructive feedback within the deadline.
  • Maintain confidentiality and avoid conflicts of interest.
  • Report ethical concerns or suspected misconduct.

Authors' Responsibilities

  • Ensure originality and avoid duplicate submissions.
  • Properly cite sources and avoid plagiarism and 'salami' publications.
  • Follow the author guidelines of MPPKI.
  • Obtain informed consent and ethical approval for research involving human or animal subjects.
  • Disclose potential conflicts of interest and funding sources.
