Media Publikasi Promosi Kesehatan Indonesia
Authors who publish with Media Publikasi Promosi Kesehatan Indonesia (MPPKI) retain copyright ownership of their work. Copyright is not transferred to MPPKI or to its publisher, the Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat, Universitas Muhammadiyah Palu.
Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). This license supports open dissemination, sharing, adaptation, and responsible reuse while preserving author ownership and requiring appropriate attribution.
1. Copyright Ownership
Authors retain copyright ownership of articles published in MPPKI. Submission, acceptance, and publication do not transfer copyright ownership to the journal, editorial team, or publisher.
Authors remain responsible for ensuring that the submitted work is original and that they have the legal authority to grant the publication and licensing rights described in this notice.
2. Right of First Publication
Authors grant MPPKI a non-exclusive right of first publication. This authorization permits the journal to publish, distribute, preserve, index, display, and identify the article as first published by MPPKI.
MPPKI publishes and maintains the official version of record. The version of record includes the final editorially approved article, its publication metadata, DOI, issue information, licensing statement, and any subsequent correction, expression of concern, or retraction notice.

Unless otherwise stated on the article page, articles published by MPPKI are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).
The license applies to the published article and permits use for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, provided that all applicable license conditions are followed.

6. Author Reuse and Self-Archiving
Authors may reuse and distribute their published articles in accordance with the CC BY-SA 4.0 license. Permitted activities include:
- posting the final published version on a personal website;
- depositing the final published version in an institutional or disciplinary repository;
- sharing the article through academic and professional networks;
- using the article for teaching, presentations, reports, or research communication;
- including the article in a thesis, dissertation, or collected work;
- translating or adapting the article in accordance with the ShareAlike requirement.
MPPKI applies no embargo period to self-archiving of the final published version. Authors should include the full citation, DOI, a link to the MPPKI version of record, and the applicable license notice.

Reuse or adaptation must not misrepresent the authors’ findings, imply endorsement by the authors, journal, editors, or publisher, or obscure the fact that changes have been made.
The CC BY-SA 4.0 license does not authorize plagiarism, false attribution, deceptive modification, research misconduct, violation of privacy, or use that is otherwise unlawful.

Images, tables, figures, datasets, questionnaires, instruments, photographs, maps, illustrations, quotations, or other content credited to a separate rights holder may not be covered by the article’s CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
Authors must obtain permission to reproduce third-party material whenever required and must clearly identify any separate copyright or licensing terms in the manuscript.
Users are responsible for determining whether their intended reuse is permitted by law, an applicable exception, or the relevant rights holder. Additional permission may be required.
10. Research Data and Supplementary Materials
The CC BY-SA 4.0 license applied to an article does not automatically determine the copyright ownership, access conditions, or permitted reuse of the underlying research data.
Research datasets, supplementary files, third-party databases, sensitive information, and controlled-access materials may be subject to separate licenses, participant consent, ethics approval, institutional requirements, contractual restrictions, or data-protection laws.
Authors and users should consult the article’s Data Availability Statement, repository record, and the MPPKI Data Sharing Policy before accessing or reusing associated research data.
11. Author Warranties
By submitting and publishing an article in MPPKI, the authors confirm that:
- the work is original and does not unlawfully infringe the rights of others;
- all listed authors have approved the submission and publication;
- the authors are authorized to grant MPPKI the right of first publication;
- all third-party material has been properly cited and permission has been obtained where required;
- the article does not contain unlawful, defamatory, misleading, confidential, or improperly disclosed information;
- the licensing statement accurately reflects the rights the authors are authorized to grant.
