Media Publikasi Promosi Kesehatan Indonesia (MPPKI) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record. Post-publication concerns are assessed according to their nature, severity, and effect on the reliability of the published work.

Correction
Addresses an error that does not invalidate the article’s principal findings or conclusions.
Expression of Concern
Alerts readers to a serious unresolved concern while an investigation or essential evidence remains pending.
Retraction
Alerts readers that the article’s findings are unreliable or that serious ethical or publication violations have occurred.
Correction Policy

A correction is issued when a published article contains an error or omission that requires amendment but does not undermine the overall validity, reliability, or principal conclusions of the work.

Erratum
Issued for an error introduced during journal production, such as a typographical, layout, formatting, or publisher-introduced inaccuracy.
Corrigendum
Issued for an author-originated error, such as minor data-labeling problems, inaccurate author information, or an omission that does not alter the scientific interpretation.
Correction Procedure
1. Report
An error may be reported by an author, editor, reviewer, reader, or other relevant party.
2. Assessment
The Editorial Board evaluates the error, its source, and its effect on the published article.
3. Notice
When correction is warranted, a formal notice describing the error and amendment is published and permanently linked to the original article.
4. Version Record
The online article clearly indicates that a post-publication correction has been made while preserving a transparent record of the change.
Transparency
The notice explains the error and amendment clearly.
Traceability
The notice and article remain permanently linked.
Accessibility
Corrected content remains openly accessible.
Retraction Policy

Retraction is used to correct the scholarly record and alert readers when an article contains seriously flawed or unreliable content or when serious ethical or publication violations invalidate confidence in the work. MPPKI applies relevant COPE Retraction Guidelines.

Grounds for Retraction
Unreliable Findings
Fabrication, falsification, serious honest error, or other problems that invalidate the findings or conclusions.
Plagiarism
Substantial unattributed use of another work that compromises the integrity of the article.
Duplicate or Redundant Publication
Publication of substantially overlapping work without appropriate disclosure or justification.
Major Methodological or Analytical Error
A serious defect that makes the reported results or conclusions unreliable.
Ethical Violation
Serious non-compliance involving ethical approval, informed consent, participant protection, or research conduct.
Compromised Publication Process
Manipulated authorship, peer review, or other serious conduct that invalidates trust in the publication.
Retraction Procedure
1. Investigation
The Editorial Board conducts a fair assessment and may seek information from authors, independent experts, institutions, ethics committees, or other responsible bodies.
2. Author Response
Authors are informed of the concern and given a reasonable opportunity to respond and provide relevant evidence.
3. Decision
The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Board decide the appropriate action based on available evidence, publication-ethics standards, and the need to protect the scholarly record.
4. Retraction Notice
A notice explains the reason and basis for retraction in clear, factual, and non-defamatory language and is permanently linked to the article.
5. Article Status
The original article remains accessible and is clearly identified as retracted, including a visible retraction label or watermark, to preserve transparency and traceability.
Expression of concern: MPPKI may publish an expression of concern when credible serious issues require readers’ attention but the evidence is inconclusive, an investigation is ongoing, or a responsible institution has not yet provided a final outcome. The notice will be reviewed when further evidence becomes available.
