Hubungan Sosial Demografi dan Perilaku Keluarga Sadar Gizi dengan Kejadian Stunting di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Perawatan Menawi Kabupaten Kepulauan Yapen
Social Demographic Relationships and Nutrition Aware Family Behavior with Stunting Incidents in Menawi Perawatan Public Health Center Working Area Yapen Islands District
Abstract
Latar belakang: Indonesia mempunyai masalah gizi yang cukup berat yang ditandai dengan banyaknya kasus stunting pada anak balita dan berdampak buruk pada kualitas sumber daya manusia pada masa depan.
Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan sosial demografi dan perilaku keluarga sadar gizi dengan kejadian stunting di wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Perawatan Menawi Kabupaten Kepulauan Yapen.
Metode: Jenis penelitian observasional dengan pendekatan cross section study. Populasi adalah seluruh keluarga yang memiliki balita sebanyak 242 balita dan sampel sebanyak 149 balita yang ada di wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Perawatan Menawi Kabupaten Kepulauan Yapen dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara simple random sampling serta uji statistik menggunakan chi-square dan regresi logistik.
Hasil: Hasil peneltian diperoleh bahwa kontak dengan budaya lain (p=0,001), konsumsi makanan beraneka ragam (p=0,001) dan perilaku keluarga sadar gizi (p=0,001) adalah variabel yang berhubungan dengan kejadian stunting, sedangkan variabel pendidikan (p=0,394) dan pendapatan (p=0,646) tidak berhubungan dengan kejadian stunting. Selain itu perilaku keluarga sadar gizi yang paling berpengaruh dengan kejadian stunting dengan nilai Exp (B)=3,884.
Kesimpulan: Diperoleh bahwa kontak dengan budaya lain, konsumsi makanan beraneka ragam dan perilaku keluarga sadar gizi merupakan faktor penyebab stunting. Sehingga diperlukan intervensi kesehatan yang berkelanjutan berupa edukasi gizi keluarga.
