Official Documents for Manuscript Submission

Authors must use the official JPHP Title Page and Anonymized Main Document templates. Replace every bracketed placeholder with manuscript-specific information and remove all instructional text, comments, examples, highlights, and guidance notes before uploading the files.

The official templates are designed to support complete manuscript reporting, protect double-blind peer review, standardize document structure, and facilitate technical and editorial assessment. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all information entered in the templates is accurate, complete, internally consistent, and identical to the metadata entered in the Online Journal System.

Required Submission Files

1. Title Page Template

Use the Title Page template to provide all author-identifying information and publication declarations. The Title Page must not be combined with the Anonymized Main Document.

The Title Page should include:

  • Article type
  • Complete manuscript title
  • Short title or running title
  • Full names of all authors
  • Institutional affiliations
  • Corresponding-author name, address, and email
  • ORCID iDs, when available
  • Author contributions using appropriate CRediT roles
  • Acknowledgments
  • Funding sources and the role of the funder
  • Financial and nonfinancial conflicts of interest
  • Ethics approval and informed-consent information
  • Trial or protocol registration information, when applicable
  • Data-availability statement
  • Generative artificial intelligence disclosure
  • Other identifying or transparency declarations required by JPHP

2. Anonymized Main Document Template

Use the Anonymized Main Document template for the complete scholarly content of the manuscript. This file must be prepared for double-blind peer review and must not contain information that directly or indirectly reveals author identity.

The Anonymized Main Document may include:

  • Manuscript title
  • Structured abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Anonymized ethics and transparency statements
  • References
  • Tables and figures
  • Figure legends
  • Supplementary-material references, when applicable
Do not include author names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, email addresses, acknowledgments, funding statements containing identifiable information, author-contribution statements, or file metadata that may reveal authorship.

3. Similarity Report

Upload a complete similarity report generated by Turnitin or another similarity-checking system accepted by the journal. The report must correspond to the final version of the manuscript submitted to JPHP.

  • The maximum overall similarity index is 20%.
  • The report must be uploaded as a separate submission file.
  • The manuscript title or file information in the report should correspond to the submitted manuscript.
  • Authors should review and correct inappropriate text overlap before submission.
  • Manipulation of text, characters, images, or file structure to reduce the similarity score is prohibited.

The similarity percentage is not assessed in isolation. The editorial team evaluates the source, location, extent, pattern, and context of text overlap. A manuscript may still be returned or declined when inappropriate copying, redundant publication, unattributed paraphrasing, or substantial overlap with the authors' previous work is identified, even when the overall percentage is below 20%.

4. Additional Supporting Files, When Applicable

Depending on the article type, study design, and editorial requirements, authors may need to submit one or more supporting files:

  • Completed reporting-guideline checklist
  • CONSORT, PRISMA, or other applicable flow diagram
  • Study protocol or protocol-registration evidence
  • Clinical-trial registration evidence
  • Ethics approval document
  • Research questionnaire or data-collection instrument
  • Supplementary tables and figures
  • Additional methodological details
  • Data dictionary or codebook
  • Statistical analysis code
  • Permission to reproduce copyrighted material
  • Consent for publication of identifiable information
  • Response to reviewers for revised submissions

File Preparation Requirements

  • Use the most recent templates available on this official page.
  • Prepare editable manuscript files in Microsoft Word format unless otherwise instructed.
  • Do not convert the Title Page or Main Document into image-only files.
  • Replace every placeholder and remove all template instructions.
  • Accept or reject all tracked changes before submission.
  • Delete all comments, hidden text, annotations, and revision marks.
  • Ensure that tables, figures, and references are cited in the correct order.
  • Use clear and descriptive file names without unnecessary symbols.
  • Do not include author-identifying information in the Main Document file name.
  • Verify that every uploaded file opens correctly and contains the intended version.
  • Ensure consistency among manuscript files, supplementary files, and OJS metadata.
Recommended file names include JPHP_Title_Page.docx, JPHP_Anonymized_Main_Document.docx, and JPHP_Similarity_Report.pdf. Authors should not include personal names in the Anonymized Main Document file name.
