Correction Retraction Policy
Correction Policy
Purpose
The Journal of Public Health and Pharmacy (JPHP) is committed to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the scientific record. Corrections are issued when minor errors are identified in published articles that do not compromise the research's validity, findings, or conclusions.
Types of Corrections
- Erratum: Issued when an error is made by the journal during the publication process (e.g., typographical errors, formatting issues).
- Corrigendum: Issued when an error is made by the author(s) but does not affect the integrity of the research (e.g., data mislabeling, acknowledgment omission).
Process
- Errors can be reported by the author(s), editor(s), or readers of the journal.
- The Editorial Board will review the reported error and assess its impact on the article.
- If necessary, a correction note will be published and linked to the original article. The online version of the article will be updated accordingly.
Principles
- Transparency: All corrections will clearly state the nature of the error and the necessary amendments.
- Accessibility: Corrected articles will remain freely accessible to maintain the integrity of the scientific record.

- Decision:
- If the allegations are confirmed, the Editorial Board will decide to retract the article.
- Notification:
- Authors will be formally notified of the decision, and a retraction statement will be published, detailing the reasons for the retraction.
- Article Status:
- The original article will remain available online with a watermark indicating "RETRACTED" to ensure transparency.
Principles
- Integrity: Retractions are issued to correct the scientific literature and protect readers from flawed research.
- Fairness: Investigations will be conducted impartially, providing authors with the opportunity to respond to allegations.
- Clarity: Retraction statements will explicitly state the reasons for the retraction to inform the public.
