The Journal of Public Health and Pharmacy is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal published by Universitas Muhammadiyah Palu, Indonesia. The journal is committed to maintaining a consistent, transparent, and timely publication schedule while upholding high standards of scientific quality, publication ethics, and editorial independence.
JPHP publishes three regular issues per year (triannual publication), organized into one annual volume consisting of:
The journal maintains its publication frequency of three issues per year. Each issue is assigned a distinct volume number, issue number, and publication year.
Since October 2026, JPHP has adopted a continuous publication model within its regular issue structure.
Under this model, articles are published individually as soon as they have successfully completed the editorial assessment, double-blind peer review, final acceptance, copyediting, proofreading, layout preparation, and publication quality-control procedures.
Authors and readers do not need to wait until all articles assigned to an issue have completed the production process before accepted articles become publicly available.
During an active publication cycle, an issue may be designated as "In Progress."
Articles are added progressively to the active issue following completion of all publication requirements. Once all scheduled articles have been published, the issue is formally closed.
Articles published in an active issue are considered formally published scholarly records and must contain complete and accurate bibliographic information.
Manuscripts follow the established editorial workflow:
The timing of individual article publication depends on the completion of editorial and production procedures. Acceptance does not guarantee publication on a specific date.
Each published article must display accurate and traceable publication information, including the article title, authors, journal title, volume, issue, publication year, DOI, and applicable publication history.
The online publication date must reflect the actual publication record. Deliberate backdating or inaccurate publication metadata is not permitted.
After an issue is formally closed, newly accepted articles will not be retrospectively inserted into that completed issue.
Any necessary amendment to a previously published article will be handled through the journal's established correction and retraction procedures, with transparent documentation.
JPHP prioritizes scientific quality and publication integrity over publication speed.
Publication may be delayed when additional editorial review, ethical assessment, author clarification, or technical correction is necessary.
Material changes to the publication schedule will be communicated through the official journal website when appropriate.
Payment of article processing charges does not influence manuscript acceptance, peer-review recommendations, editorial decisions, or publication scheduling.
All accepted articles must satisfy the journal's scientific, editorial, and ethical requirements before publication.
