Promotif: Jurnal Kesehatan Masyarakat
A peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of public health research, evidence, policy, and practice.

Promotif: Jurnal Kesehatan Masyarakat (PJKM) is a national peer-reviewed journal published by the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Muhammadiyah Palu. The journal provides a scholarly platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, policymakers, students, and public health professionals to communicate research findings, reviews, and evidence relevant to population health.

PJKM supports the production, communication, and practical application of public health knowledge. The journal seeks to connect scientific evidence with health services, policy development, professional practice, community programmes, population health management, and efforts to improve health equity and health outcomes.

Public Health Coverage

The journal welcomes manuscripts addressing public health science, philosophy, policy, systems, services, interventions, and practice. Core areas include, but are not limited to:

Article Types
Original Research Articles
Empirical quantitative, qualitative, mixed-methods, implementation, evaluation, laboratory, field, policy, or health-service research.
Review Articles
Systematic reviews, scoping reviews, integrative reviews, narrative reviews, or other evidence-synthesis manuscripts that follow an appropriate reporting standard.
Short Reports
Concise reports of relevant public health findings, preliminary evidence, programme evaluations, surveillance observations, or focused analyses.
Manuscripts must comply with the current Author Guidelines, official manuscript template, applicable reporting guideline, publication-ethics requirements, and integrated Submission Checklist.

The publication schedule refers to the journal's regular issues. Editorial processing, review, revision, production, and publication planning remain subject to manuscript readiness and journal workflow.

Peer Review and Editorial Assessment

Submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment for scope, completeness, originality, ethical compliance, reporting quality, anonymization, and conformity with journal requirements. Manuscripts that pass screening are evaluated through the journal's double-blind peer-review process by reviewers with relevant subject expertise.

The final decision rests with the authorised editor and is based on scientific merit, methodological quality, ethical compliance, relevance, reviewer evaluations, and the journal's editorial policies.
Open Access and Copyright

PJKM provides immediate open access to its published content. Readers may access journal articles without a subscription or institutional login. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication. Published content is distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Under CC BY-SA 4.0, users may share and adapt the work for lawful purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given and derivative works are distributed under the same licence.
Publication Ethics and Research Integrity

PJKM expects authors, editors, reviewers, and journal personnel to uphold research integrity, confidentiality, transparency, impartiality, responsible authorship, accurate reporting, appropriate citation, ethical participant protection, and disclosure of relevant interests. Suspected misconduct is handled according to the journal's publication-ethics and post-publication policies.
