Withdrawal Manuscript
WITHDRAWAL MANUSCRIPT POLICY
MALEO Law Journal (MLJ) recognizes that authors may occasionally request the withdrawal of a manuscript. However, because manuscript processing involves considerable editorial and peer-review resources, withdrawal requests are accepted only under specific circumstances and in accordance with the journal's editorial policies and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices.
Authors are expected to carefully consider their decision before submitting a manuscript. Submission indicates the authors' commitment to complete the editorial and peer-review process unless exceptional circumstances justify withdrawal.
Acceptable Reasons for Withdrawal
- Significant errors or inaccuracies identified by the authors.
- Ethical concerns discovered before publication.
- Duplicate submission made unintentionally.
- Other exceptional circumstances accepted by the Editorial Board.
Withdrawal Procedure
| Stage | Editorial Action |

| Before Peer Review | Authors may request withdrawal by submitting a formal written request to the Editorial Office stating the reason for withdrawal. |
| During Peer Review | Withdrawal requests will be evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief. Approval is granted only for justified and documented reasons. |
| After Acceptance | Withdrawal is generally not permitted except under exceptional ethical or legal circumstances approved by the Editorial Board. |
| After Publication | Published articles cannot be withdrawn. Any necessary corrections or removals will follow the journal's Correction and Retraction Policy. |
Important Notice
A manuscript is considered withdrawn only after the corresponding author receives written confirmation from the Editorial Office. Authors should not submit the same manuscript to another journal until official approval of the withdrawal has been granted.
