EDITORIAL WORKFLOW
MALEO Law Journal (MLJ) applies a transparent, efficient, and rigorous editorial workflow to ensure that every submitted manuscript is processed fairly, objectively, and in accordance with international publishing standards. Every stage of the editorial process is conducted under the principles of quality, integrity, confidentiality, and academic excellence.
All submitted manuscripts are processed through several editorial stages before publication. The workflow is designed to ensure that every article meets the journal's standards for originality, scientific quality, ethical compliance, and contribution to legal scholarship.
Editorial Workflow

| 1 | Manuscript Submission | Authors submit manuscripts through the online journal system. |
| 2 | Initial Editorial Screening | The editorial office evaluates the manuscript for scope, formatting, completeness, and compliance with submission requirements. |
| 3 | Plagiarism Screening | All manuscripts undergo plagiarism detection to ensure originality before peer review. |
| 4 | Editor Assignment | The Editor-in-Chief assigns the manuscript to a handling editor with expertise in the relevant field. |
| 5 | Double-Blind Peer Review | The manuscript is reviewed independently by at least two qualified reviewers. |
| 6 | Author Revision | Authors revise the manuscript based on reviewers' comments and submit a revised version. |
| 7 | Final Editorial Decision | The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision to accept, request further revision, or reject the manuscript. |
| 8 | Copyediting & Proofreading | Accepted manuscripts undergo language editing, formatting, and proofreading. |
| 9 | Layout & Galley Preparation | The final article is prepared in publication format with DOI assignment. |
| 10 | Online Publication | The article is published online and becomes freely accessible under the Diamond Open Access policy. |
