Peer Review Process
PEER REVIEW PROCESS
MALEO Law Journal (MLJ) applies a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process to ensure the publication of high-quality scholarly articles. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review procedure, ensuring fairness, objectivity, academic integrity, and impartial evaluation.
Every manuscript submitted to MALEO Law Journal undergoes an initial editorial assessment to evaluate its relevance to the journal's focus and scope, originality, academic quality, compliance with the author guidelines, and adherence to publication ethics. Manuscripts that do not meet these basic requirements may be rejected before entering the peer-review stage.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent reviewers who possess expertise in the relevant field of legal studies. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, significance, methodology, theoretical contribution, legal analysis, clarity of presentation, references, and overall scientific quality.
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief makes one of the following editorial decisions:

|---|---|
| Accept | The manuscript is accepted for publication without revision or with only minor editorial changes. |
| Minor Revision | The manuscript requires minor revisions before final acceptance. |
| Major Revision | Substantial revisions are required, and the revised manuscript may undergo an additional review. |
| Reject | The manuscript does not meet the journal's academic or publication standards. |
