Abstract
Latar belakang: Neurosifilis merupakan penyakit saraf yang disebabkan oleh Treponema pallidum. Penyakit ini merupakan bentuk komplikasi dari sifilis yang dalam tahapan infeksinya tidak menentu pada sifilis primer, sekuder, ataupun tersier. Hal ini menjadi tantangan oleh para klinisi.
Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengenalan neurosifilis: komplikasi sifilis susunan saraf pusat sebagai upaya pencegahan.
Metode: Metode yang digunakan melibatkan pencarian dan analisis artikel ilmiah yang relevan. Pertama, dilakukan identifikasi kata kunci seperti "neurosifilis," "komplikasi sifilis," "susunan saraf pusat," dan "pencegahan." Kemudian, basis data seperti PubMed, Scopus, dan Google Scholar digunakan untuk mencari artikel yang terkait dengan topik tersebut. Pencarian dilakukan dengan menggunakan kata kunci yang telah diidentifikasi, dengan penerapan filter waktu untuk memperoleh artikel terbaru
Hasil: Neurosifilis pun bisa saja terjadi dini dari infeksi pertama, Manifestasi klinis dari neurosifilis pun lebih beragam dan terdapat bagian dari penyakit ini yang asimtomatik, sehingga sulit untuk terdiagnosis sedini mungkin.
Kesimpulan: Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tatalaksana dari penyakit ini pun sangat krusial untuk diketahui agar komplikasi ini tidak berlanjut lebih parah sehingga tidak dapat memberikan dampak ataupun kerusakan yang permanen pada tubuh pasien.
