Abstract
Latar belakang: Perilaku dan pengetahuan personal hygiene menstruasi pada remaja masih kurang. Hal tersebut sangat penting diketahui bagi remaja menimbang resiko yang bakal terjadi nantinya. Kebersihan menstruasi yang kurang dijaga akan menimbulkan masalah salah satu penyebab utama infeksi saluran reproduksi, infeksi saluran kemih, dan telah dikaitkan dengan risiko infeksi HIV, kanker serviks, dan hasil kehamilan yang buruk serta untuk dampak sosialnya dijauhi teman-tamnya karna bau amis, percaya diri yang berkurang, menghambat aktivitas sehari-hari.
Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan literatur review ini yaitu dengan metode narative literatur review. Pencarian referensi melalui google scholar, pubmed, publish or perish dan sinta dengan kata kunci personal hygine, remaja,â€adolescent†dan menstruasi, â€menstruation†dan menejemen kesehatan mensrtuasi (MKM) “menstrual hyigiene management (MHM)â€, artikel yang diambil yaitu penelitian asli yang dilakukan langsung oleh peneliti dengan rentang waktu publikasi 2011-2021, artikel yang memberikan informasi mengenai personal Hygine, dan tidak mengambil artikel dibawah tahun 2011.
Tujuan: Dibuatnya literatur review ini untuk mengetahui gambaran personal hygiene remaja saat menstruasi serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pengetahuanya.
Kesimpulan: Kebersihan atau personal hygiene menstruasi pada remaja masih kurang baik sehingga diperlukanya informasi yang benar sehingga remaja dapat melakukan personal hygiene saat menstruasi dengan baik. Beberapa sumber informasi yang dapat memberikan informasi mengenai personal hygiene pada remaja yaitu orang tua, guru, tenaga kesehatan, dan media masa.
