Reviewer Guidelines

 

Sambulugana Journal sincerely appreciates the valuable contribution of reviewers in maintaining the quality, integrity, and credibility of published research. Peer reviewers play a vital role in ensuring that every manuscript meets high academic and ethical standards.

Reviewers are expected to provide objective, constructive, timely, and confidential evaluations that assist editors in making editorial decisions and help authors improve the quality of their manuscripts.

• Evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and without personal bias.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all submitted manuscripts.
• Provide constructive comments that help authors improve their work.
• Identify relevant published literature that has not been cited.
• Inform the editor of any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns.
• Complete the review within the requested review period or promptly notify the editor if additional time is required.

• Originality and novelty of the research.
• Relevance to the journal's focus and scope.
• Scientific significance and contribution to the field.
• Methodological rigor and research design.
• Quality of data analysis and interpretation.
• Organization, clarity, and academic writing quality.
• Appropriateness and completeness of references.
• Compliance with research and publication ethics.

• Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents.
• Reviewers must not share, copy, or use unpublished information for personal or professional advantage.
• Reviewers should decline a review invitation if a conflict of interest exists with the authors, institutions, or research.
• Any potential conflict of interest should be disclosed to the Editor immediately.

Based on the evaluation, reviewers are requested to provide one of the following recommendations:

• Accept – The manuscript is suitable for publication without further revision.
• Minor Revision – The manuscript requires minor improvements before publication.
• Major Revision – The manuscript requires substantial revision and should be re-evaluated.
• Reject – The manuscript is not suitable for publication in its current form.
