Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Forbis Sains (ISSN 2828-349X) undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, scientific contribution, and academic integrity of the published articles. The journal applies a double-blind peer review system in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process to maintain objectivity and fairness.

Initial Submission

Authors are required to submit manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. All submissions must follow the journal’s author guidelines, formatting standards, and publication ethics policies. Manuscripts that do not comply with the submission requirements may be returned to the authors for revision before entering the review stage.

Editorial Screening

The Editor-in-Chief or assigned editors conduct an initial evaluation of the manuscript to assess:

  • Relevance to the journal’s focus and scope
  • Originality and scientific contribution
  • Compliance with ethical standards
  • Clarity of presentation and academic quality
  • Similarity and plagiarism screening

At this stage, the manuscript may be rejected, returned for technical revision, or forwarded for peer review.

Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the editorial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:

  • Scientific significance and originality
  • Research methodology and validity
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Relevance of references and literature review
  • Clarity, coherence, and organization of the manuscript
  • Contribution to the advancement of knowledge

The review process is conducted confidentially and objectively to ensure academic integrity and publication quality.

Reviewers’ Recommendations

Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the editorial decision may include:

  • Accept without revision
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Accept with major revisions
  • Resubmit for review
  • Reject

The editorial board communicates reviewers’ comments and recommendations to the authors for necessary revisions.

Revision Process

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ and editors’ comments within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts must be accompanied by a detailed response letter explaining how the comments and suggestions have been addressed.

Final Editorial Decision

After the revised manuscript is resubmitted, the editor evaluates the revisions and may send the manuscript for additional review if necessary. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of the manuscript based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the overall academic quality of the paper.

Copyediting and Publication

Accepted manuscripts proceed to the copyediting, proofreading, layout editing, and final publication stages. Authors may be asked to review proofs before publication to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Publication Ethics

Jurnal Forbis Sains is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and follows internationally recognized ethical guidelines in scholarly publishing. Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, or unethical research conduct will result in rejection or retraction of the manuscript.
