Article Processing Charges & Other Fees
Horizon of Public Health Sciences (HoPHS) does not charge authors for submitting, reviewing, processing, or publishing scholarly manuscripts. The current Article Processing Charge (APC) is USD 0, and no mandatory author fee is imposed at any stage of the standard publication process.
The Article Processing Charge for all article types currently published by HoPHS is USD 0. Authors do not receive an APC invoice after acceptance and publication is not conditional on payment of a publication fee.
No Article Processing Charge is payable by the author, author's institution, research funder, or another party on behalf of the author for standard publication in HoPHS.
The following schedule identifies the standard fees that authors might reasonably expect to encounter during scholarly publishing and confirms the current HoPHS charge for each item.
Because HoPHS does not currently charge an APC, there is no author-paid publication charge to allocate across editorial, production, hosting, archiving, metadata, or publication activities. Standard journal processing and publication do not generate a mandatory invoice to authors.
A waiver or fee-reduction policy is currently not applicable because HoPHS charges no APC and no other mandatory author fee. All eligible authors receive the same zero-fee publication conditions regardless of country, institution, career stage, funding status, or ability to pay.
Under the current fee policy, HoPHS does not request author payment at submission, during technical screening, before or after peer review, during revision, after acceptance, at production, or after publication.
Manuscripts are assessed according to scholarly relevance, scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, reporting standards, ethical integrity, and peer-review evidence. Editorial decisions are independent of an author's institution, funding status, country, or financial resources.
Authors may independently choose to obtain professional language editing, translation, statistical consultation, figure preparation, data-repository services, or other third-party assistance before or during manuscript preparation. Any such voluntary expense is separate from HoPHS and does not constitute a journal fee.
The current article withdrawal charge is USD 0. Authors who need to withdraw a manuscript should contact the editorial office and provide a clear reason for the request. Withdrawal remains subject to appropriate editorial documentation, particularly where publication-integrity concerns or duplicate submission may be involved.
HoPHS may review its publishing model as the journal develops. If an APC or another mandatory author fee is introduced in the future, the journal will update this page and relevant author information before the new charge takes effect.
Under the current HoPHS publishing model, authors pay no submission fee, peer-review fee, editorial-processing fee, Article Processing Charge, page charge, colour charge, supplementary-material charge, mandatory language-editing fee, or withdrawal fee. The total mandatory author charge for standard publication is USD 0.
