Abstract

Traffic accidents frequently occur and cause both material and immaterial losses to victims. The government, through Jasa Raharja, provides compensation as a form of social protection; however, many people still lack understanding of the claim procedures, leading to various obstacles. This study aims to determine the process of claiming Jasa Raharja compensation within the jurisdiction of the Ketahun Police Sector and to identify the obstacles encountered. The method used is empirical legal research with a socio-legal approach, utilizing primary data from interviews and secondary data from literature studies. Data analysis is conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. The results show that the claim process begins with reporting the accident, followed by the collection of administrative requirements, and verification before compensation is granted. The obstacles include lack of public understanding, incomplete documents, delays in reporting, and insufficient coordination with the police. In conclusion, the process has been carried out according to procedures; however, improved public outreach and coordination are needed to enhance effectiveness.
