Archiving Policy

Journal of Educational Management and Islamic Leadership (JEMIL) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and security of all published content. The journal employs various archiving strategies to guarantee that scholarly materials remain permanently available to the academic community and the public.

1. Digital Archiving

JEMIL utilizes multiple digital archiving systems to preserve its content, including:

  • Institutional Repositories
Published articles are deposited in the institutional repository of the journal’s host university or partner institutions.

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)
The journal participates in the LOCKSS initiative to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries, ensuring the content is safely stored and remains accessible in the long term.

  • Internet Archive
JEMIL content may also be indexed and preserved through public digital libraries and repositories such as the Internet Archive.

2. Self-Archiving by Authors

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit their published articles in:

  • Institutional repositories

  • Subject-based repositories

  • Author's personal websites

All self-archived versions must clearly indicate the original source of publication and include a proper citation to JEMIL.

3. Preservation of Metadata and DOI

All articles published in JEMIL are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure permanent and reliable access. Metadata is stored and maintained to support searchability, discoverability, and citation.

4. Back-Up and Recovery

JEMIL maintains regular backups of its server and journal database. In the event of data loss or system failure, all content can be restored promptly to minimize disruption to users.

We are committed to sustaining access to our academic content for future generations of scholars, educators, and researchers.
