Author Guidelines
Journal of Educational Management and Islamic Leadership (JEMIL)
Authors intending to submit manuscripts to the Journal of Educational Management and Islamic Leadership (JEMIL) must follow the guidelines below to ensure a smooth review and publication process. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned without review.
1. Scope and Focus
JEMIL accepts original research articles, literature reviews, and conceptual papers that focus on:

Educational management and leadership

Islamic education leadership
-
Policy and governance in Islamic educational institutions
-
Integration of Islamic values in educational management
-
Comparative studies in educational leadership from an Islamic perspective
All submissions must demonstrate academic rigor, originality, and relevance to the field.
2. Language
-
Manuscripts must be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia.
-
English manuscripts should use clear, concise, and grammatically correct academic English.
-
Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts reviewed by a native speaker or professional language editing service.
3. Manuscript Format
File Type: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
Font: Times New Roman, 10 pt
Spacing: 1.0 line spacing
Margin: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides
Length: 5,000–8,000 words (including references)
Structure:

Abstract (150–250 words) and Keywords (3–5 keywords)

4. Abstract and Keywords
-
The abstract should summarize the purpose, method, findings, and conclusion of the paper.

Provide 3–5 keywords to help index the article.
5. References
-
Use APA Style 7th Edition for in-text citations and reference list.
-
References must be current and relevant, preferably from peer-reviewed sources.
-
At least 80% of references should be from the last 10 years.
6. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted via the online journal system at: [Insert Submission Link]

A cover letter must accompany the manuscript, stating that:

The manuscript is original and has not been submitted elsewhere.

All authors have approved the submission.

There is no conflict of interest.

7. Plagiarism Policy
All submissions are screened for plagiarism. Manuscripts with a similarity index above 20% will be automatically rejected.
8. Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.

The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks.

Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments.
9. Article Processing Charges (APC)
JEMIL currently does not charge any submission or publication fees.
10. Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work.

Published articles will be licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license.
