Reference Tools

To ensure the quality and consistency of academic writing, Indonesian Research Journal in Legal Studies (IRJILS) requires authors to use appropriate reference management tools. These tools help in formatting citations, managing bibliographies, and maintaining accuracy according to the journal’s citation style.

  1. Recommended Reference Managers
Authors are strongly encouraged to use one of the following reference management applications:

    • Mendeley (Elsevier)

    • Zotero

    • EndNote

    • RefWorks

  2. Citation Style

    • IRJILS uses the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition citation style.

    • Authors must ensure that all references cited in the text are listed in the reference list, and vice versa.

  3. Consistency and Accuracy

    • References must be complete, accurate, and up to date.

    • The editorial team reserves the right to request authors to revise and reformat references that do not comply with the required standard.

  4. Plagiarism Prevention

    • Proper referencing is part of the journal’s commitment to academic integrity.

    • Failure to provide accurate references may be considered a violation of the journal’s ethical policy.
