Plagiarism Policy

The Indonesian Research Journal in Legal Studies (IRJILS) maintains a strict policy against plagiarism in any form.

  1. Definition of Plagiarism

    • Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

      • Copying text, data, or ideas from other sources without proper citation.

      • Using another author’s work, in whole or in part, as if it were one’s own.

      • Self-plagiarism, i.e., reusing significant parts of one’s previously published work without proper acknowledgment.

  2. Screening Process

    • All submitted manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using reliable plagiarism detection software before entering the review process.

    • Manuscripts containing more than 20% similarity index will be returned to the authors for revision or outright rejection.

  3. Responsibilities of Authors

    • Authors must ensure that their works are entirely original.

    • Proper acknowledgment and citation must be given to all sources that have influenced the research.

  4. Consequences of Plagiarism

    • If plagiarism is detected during the review process, the manuscript will be rejected immediately.

    • If plagiarism is identified after publication, the article may be retracted, and appropriate action will be taken, including notifying the author’s institution and banning the author from future submissions.

  5. Ethical Commitment

    • By submitting to IRJILS, authors affirm that their manuscripts are free from plagiarism and comply with academic integrity standards.
