Iqra: Jurnal Ilmu Kependidikan dan Keislaman (p-ISSN: 0216-4949; e-ISSN: 2615-4870) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Muhammadiyah Palu. The journal is published biannually, with two issues released each year in January and July. As part of its continuous commitment to improving publication quality and expanding its international visibility, starting from Volume 22, Issue 1 (January 2027), all manuscripts submitted to the journal must be written in English. This policy is intended to strengthen the journal's global accessibility, increase international readership and citations, and support its long-term development as an internationally recognized scholarly publication.
Iqra has also achieved a significant milestone in its academic development by being reaccredited and upgraded from SINTA Rank 5 to SINTA Rank 2, effective from Volume 20, Issue 2 (2025) through Volume 25, Issue 1 (2030), based on the Decree of the Director General of Science and Technology (Direktur Jenderal Sains dan Teknologi) Number 355/DST/D.D1/HM.01.01/2026 dated 24 July 2026. This achievement reflects the journal's sustained commitment to maintaining high standards of scholarly quality, editorial excellence, ethical publishing practices, and national academic recognition.
The journal serves as an academic platform for the dissemination of original research, theoretical studies, and critical analyses in the fields of education, Islamic education, and Islamic studies. It aims to foster interdisciplinary scholarly dialogue by promoting rigorous research that addresses contemporary educational and religious issues within both local and global contexts. Through a commitment to academic integrity, methodological rigor, and ethical publishing practices, the journal contributes to the advancement of knowledge and the development of evidence-based educational and Islamic scholarship.
