Peran Kepemimpinan dalam Pembentukan Visi Sekolah Dasar Efektif Berbasis Agama
Abstract
Kepemimpinan menempati peran krusial dalam mengarahkan proses pendidikan di sekolah untuk mencapai tujuan yang dicita-citakan. Oleh karena itu, peran kepemimpinan yang bervisi atau visioner sangat diperlukan untuk membentuk visi sekolah yang kuat, realistis dan berorientasi masa depan yang gemilang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kepemimpinan dalam membentuk visi sekolah. Pembentukan visi dikaji melalui nilai dan pertimbangan yang mendasari perumusan visi. Penelitian kualitatif ini dilaksanakan pada dua sekolah dasar efektif yang secara prinsip berbeda, yaitu sekolah Islam dan sekolah Kristen. Oleh sebab itu, rancangan penelitian yang tepat digunakan adalah rancangan studi multi-kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen. Informan penelitian terdiri dari pendiri yayasan, kepala sekolah, guru-guru dan staf administrasi. Pemilihan informan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling dan snowball sampling. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis kualitatif interaktif dimana analisis data dilakukan secara bersamaan dengan proses pengumpulan data. Prosedur analisis data interaktif meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Nilai-nilai yang mendasari pembentukan visi sekolah efektif didasarkan atas keyakinan dan nilai dasar organisasi yang pada mulanya dirumuskan oleh pendiri dan kepala sekolah selaku pemimpin organisasi. Keyakinan dan nilai dasar organisasi dijabarkan dalam seperangkat nilai sebagai core values yang diyakini untuk mencapai visi organisasi. Pertimbangan-pertimbangan dalam menetapkan arah pengembangan organisasi didasarkan atas perjalanan sejarah bangsa, potensi bangsa, potensi dan kelemahan sistem pendidikan, kekuatan dan kelemahan sekolah, nilai-nilai visi, dan eksistensi visi yang rasional dan realistis.
