Peer Review Process for Iqra: Jurnal Ilmu Kependidikan dan Keislaman

Submission of Manuscript
- Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system or via email, as per the journal's submission guidelines.

Initial Screening
- The Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor conducts an initial screening of the manuscript to ensure it meets the journal's scope, formatting requirements, and basic quality standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria are returned to the authors for revision or rejected.

Assignment of Reviewers
- If the manuscript passes the initial screening, the Editor-in-Chief assigns it to a suitable Associate Editor who selects expert reviewers in the relevant field. The reviewers are usually selected based on their expertise and experience related to the manuscript's topic.

Review Process
- Reviewers are invited to evaluate the manuscript. They are asked to provide detailed feedback on various aspects including originality, relevance, methodology, and clarity. Reviewers are also expected to assess the manuscript’s contribution to the field of educational and Islamic studies.

Reviewer's Report
- Reviewers submit their reports, which include recommendations for acceptance, minor revisions, major revisions, or rejection. They also provide constructive feedback to help authors improve their manuscript.

Decision Making
- Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the Associate Editor makes a recommendation to the Editor-in-Chief. The Editor-in-Chief then makes the final decision regarding the manuscript, which may be:
- Accept: The manuscript is accepted for publication.
- Minor Revisions: The manuscript requires minor revisions. Authors are asked to make changes and resubmit.
- Major Revisions: The manuscript requires substantial revisions. Authors must address detailed comments and resubmit.
- Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in its current form.
- Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the Associate Editor makes a recommendation to the Editor-in-Chief. The Editor-in-Chief then makes the final decision regarding the manuscript, which may be:

Revision and Resubmission
- If revisions are requested, authors revise the manuscript accordingly and resubmit it. The revised manuscript may be sent back to the original reviewers or new reviewers for further evaluation.

Final Review
- The revised manuscript undergoes a final review to ensure that all reviewers’ comments have been addressed adequately. If the revised manuscript meets the necessary criteria, it is accepted for publication.

Publication
- Once accepted, the manuscript is prepared for publication. This includes proofreading, formatting, and finalizing the layout. The manuscript is then published in the journal, and authors are notified.

Post-Publication
- The published article is made available to readers through the journal’s website and/or other distribution channels. Authors are encouraged to promote their published work and may be invited to participate in academic discussions or conferences related to their research.
Confidentiality and Ethics
- Reviewers and editors must maintain confidentiality regarding the manuscript’s content. They should not use any information obtained during the review process for personal gain or advantage.
- Authors must adhere to ethical standards, including proper citation of sources and avoidance of plagiarism.
