It is with great gratitude that we present the July 2024 issue of this journal, featuring six selected research articles in the field of English Language Teaching (ELT).
This issue specifically highlights the dynamics of English language learning in Indonesia, ranging from the use of technology and strategies for improving speaking skills to an in-depth analysis of the linguistic barriers faced by learners. The issue opens with a study on phonetic aspects in the use of digital dictionary applications by Wulandari et al., followed by a series of innovative learning methods to improve speaking skills. Selviani et al. explore the effectiveness of the Cooperative Script, while Yumelda et al. focus on the Problem-Based Learning approach. Complementing these perspectives, Dewi et al. provide an overview of the impact of the English Club extracurricular activity on students’ confidence in communication. In line with the increasing digitalization of education, Baharuddin et al. contribute insights on the role of web-based media in stimulating students’ interest in learning. As a crucial conclusion, the article by Cahyadi et al. conducts an in-depth analysis of grammatical obstacles in the construction of passive sentences among university-level students. We hope the collection of articles in this issue will provide new insights for education practitioners, lecturers, and researchers to continue innovating in creating a more effective and adaptive English language learning environment.
