Vol. 6 No. 2 (2023): Journal of Foreign Language and Educational Research

JOFLER is a scientific journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in the field of foreign language and educational research more broadly. The journal presents academic contributions relevant to various aspects of foreign language teaching, learning, and curriculum development, as well as other contemporary educational issues. In this edition, JOFLER features a variety of interesting studies. An article examines how teaching punctuation through descriptive texts can be applied to eighth-grade students. There is also research exploring the effectiveness of word colouring techniques in improving English vocabulary acquisition. The journal also presents a study on the application of contextual teaching and learning in improving vocabulary acquisition, as well as an analysis of the influence of grammatical competence on students' speaking skills. Furthermore, readers can find an overview of the strategies used by teachers to improve students' reading comprehension at the junior high school level. Equally important, an article investigates the correlation between vocabulary mastery and listening skills in vocational high school students. JOFLER serves as an important platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to share research findings, innovative ideas, and critical analyses that contribute to the advancement of theory and practice in foreign language education and the field of education in general.
