Editorial Workflow

Medical and Health Journey Journal

The Medical and Health Journey Journal implements a rigorous and transparent editorial workflow to ensure the quality, integrity, and timeliness of the publication process.

Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. Submissions must comply with the journal’s Submission Guidelines, including formatting, ethical requirements, and completeness of metadata.

Initial Screening (Editorial Office Check)

The editorial office conducts a preliminary evaluation to ensure that the manuscript:

  • Fits the journal’s scope
  • Meets basic formatting requirements
  • Includes all necessary documents (cover letter, ethical approval, etc.)

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to authors for correction or rejected.

Plagiarism Screening

All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software such as:

  • Turnitin
  • iThenticate

Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding the acceptable threshold (? 20%) may be rejected or returned for revision.

Eligible manuscripts are assigned to a Section Editor or Handling Editor with expertise relevant to the manuscript’s subject area.

Double-Blind Peer Review

The journal applies a double-blind peer review process, where:

  • Authors and reviewers remain anonymous
  • At least two independent reviewers are assigned

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodology, clarity, and scientific contribution.

Reviewer Reports and Editorial Decision

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

The decision is communicated to the authors along with reviewer feedback.

Revision Stage

Authors are required to:

  • Revise the manuscript according to reviewer comments
  • Provide a detailed response to each comment

Revised manuscripts may be sent back to reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.
