Author Guidelines

Medical and Health Journey Journal

General Information

Medical and Health Journey Journal is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that publishes high-quality research in the fields of medical and health sciences, including but not limited to:

  • Clinical Medicine
  • Public Health
  • Nursing Science
  • Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences
  • Nutrition and Environmental Health

Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.


Types of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses
  • Case Reports
  • Short Communications
  • Review Articles

Manuscript Preparation

Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear and grammatically correct academic English. Authors are strongly encouraged to use professional language editing services if necessary.

General Format

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
  • Word count:
    • Original articles: 4,000–7,000 words
    • Review articles: up to 8,000 words
    • Short communications: 2,000–3,000 words

Structure of Manuscript

Title Page

  • Article title (maximum 20 words, clear and informative)
  • Full names of all authors (without academic titles)
  • Institutional affiliations
  • Corresponding author’s email
  • ORCID ID (if available)

Abstract

  • Written in English
  • Maximum 250 words
  • For research articles, the abstract must be structured as follows:
    • Background
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion

Keywords

  • 3–6 keywords
  • Use standardized terms (MeSH terms are strongly recommended)

Main Text

Introduction

  • Background of the study
  • Research gap
  • Study objectives

Methods

  • Study design
  • Setting and duration
  • Population and sample
  • Data collection procedures
  • Statistical analysis
  • Ethical approval (mandatory for studies involving humans or animals)

Results

  • Present findings clearly and systematically
  • Use tables and figures when necessary
  • Avoid duplication between text and tables/figures

Discussion

  • Interpretation of results
  • Comparison with previous studies
  • Scientific and practical implications

Conclusion

  • Summary of key findings
  • Direct answer to research objectives

Acknowledgments

  • Optional; mention contributors who are not listed as authors

Conflict of Interest

  • Must be clearly stated

Funding Statement

  • Specify funding sources

Tables and Figures

  • Number consecutively (Table 1, Figure 1, etc.)
  • Provide clear and concise titles
  • Minimum image resolution: 300 dpi
  • Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, TIFF
  • Avoid duplication with the main text

References

  • Use Vancouver Style (recommended for medical journals) or APA 7th Edition
  • Minimum requirements:
    • At least 15 references for original articles
    • 80% from recent international journals (within the last 5–10 years)
  • Reference management tools are recommended (Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote)

Publication Ethics

This journal adheres to international standards, including:

  • Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)
  • International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) Recommendations

Authors must:

  • Ensure originality (similarity index ?20%)
  • Avoid data fabrication and falsification
  • Provide informed consent where applicable

Peer Review Process

  • Review system: Double-blind peer review
  • Process includes:
    1. Editorial screening
    2. Peer review by experts
    3. Revision by authors (if required)
    4. Final editorial decision

Estimated review time: 4–8 weeks


Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the Online Journal System (OJS).

Required documents:

  • Manuscript (anonymous/blind version)
  • Separate title page
  • Statement of originality

Article Processing Charges (APC)

Publication fees (if applicable) will be clearly stated on the journal website in accordance with international transparency standards.

All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin or iThenticate).
