An Analysis of Grade XI Students' Ability in Writing Descriptive Text

Abstract

This research aims in finding out the Grade XI students’ ability in writing descriptive text. It applied descriptive method. The subject was the grade eleven students, with 31 students taken from one class by using random sampling technique. The data of the research were collected by carrying out the interview, questionnaire and test. The result of this research indicates that students ability in witing descriptive text was categorized as ‘excellent’ with the mean score 87,5.
