Rutinitas Berolahraga dan Kondisi Lemak Tubuh: Studi Cross-Sectional Pada Masyarakat Usia Produktif di Kota Makassar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara rutinitas berolahraga dan kondisi lemak tubuh pada masyarakat usia produktif di Kota Makassar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional pada 150 responden berusia 18–60 tahun yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Variabel independen adalah rutinitas berolahraga yang dikategorikan menjadi rutin dan jarang, sedangkan variabel dependen adalah persentase lemak tubuh yang diukur menggunakan Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) dan diklasifikasikan menjadi gemuk, rata-rata, bugar, dan kurang. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara rutinitas berolahraga dan kondisi lemak tubuh (p = 0,642). Meskipun responden yang rutin berolahraga lebih banyak berada pada kategori lemak tubuh normal dan bugar, hubungan tersebut tidak cukup kuat secara statistik. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa komposisi lemak tubuh dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar frekuensi olahraga. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan untuk mempertimbangkan intensitas latihan, pola makan, dan kebiasaan sedentari guna memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif.
