PROBLEMS STUDENTS ENCOUNTERED IN WRITING RECOUNT TEXT

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the writing problems of the fourth semester of English Education Study Program, Teacher Training and Education Faculty Muhammadiyah University Palu, this research applied descriptive method. The subject was fourth semester of English Education Study Program of Muhammadiyah University of Palu, with 8 students taken from one class by using total sampling technique. The data of research were collected by carrying out the interview and documentation. The result of the research indicate that the students faced problems which include: (1) they were lack of vocabulary; (2) they have problems in grammar; (3) they could not use spelling and punctuation well.
