Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan dan pengaruh emotional intelligence (EI) dan stress management (SM) terhadap employee wellbeing (EWB) pada karyawan industri berisiko di Sumatera Selatan tahun 2025. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain potong lintang melalui survei terhadap 180 responden dari sektor pertambangan, migas, dan konstruksi. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner skala Likert lima poin untuk mengukur EI, SM, dan EWB. Analisis data meliputi statistik deskriptif, korelasi Pearson, dan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil deskriptif menunjukkan EI cenderung lebih tinggi, sedangkan SM dan EWB berada pada tingkat sedang. Hasil korelasi menunjukkan hubungan positif antara EI dan SM, EI dan EWB, serta hubungan paling kuat antara SM dan EWB. Regresi linier sederhana menegaskan bahwa EI berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap EWB (B = 0,51; p < 0,001; R² = 0,20), dan SM berpengaruh lebih kuat terhadap EWB (B = 0,62; p < 0,001; R² = 0,36). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa EI berfungsi sebagai sumber daya psikologis dasar yang membantu regulasi emosi dan kualitas relasi kerja, sedangkan SM merupakan mekanisme coping harian yang lebih dekat dalam menjelaskan variasi wellbeing pada pekerjaan berisiko. Implikasi praktisnya, organisasi perlu memprioritaskan program SM yang realistis seperti manajemen kelelahan, micro-recovery, coaching coping adaptif, dan edukasi tidur bagi pekerja shift, disertai pelatihan EI untuk regulasi emosi dan komunikasi aman di bawah tekanan. Keterbatasan penelitian ini terletak pada desain potong lintang dan data berbasis persepsi, sehingga penelitian lanjutan disarankan menggunakan desain longitudinal dan menambahkan variabel kontekstual keselamatan kerja.
