Withdrawal Manuscript

Journal of Foreign Language and Educational Research

The Journal of Foreign Language and Educational Research is committed to maintaining professional editorial standards and ethical publication practices. Authors are expected to respect the editorial and peer review process once a manuscript has been submitted.

Manuscript Withdrawal Before Review

Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript before the peer review process begins by submitting a formal written request to the editorial office.

The request must include:

  • Manuscript title
  • Author names
  • Reason for withdrawal
  • Corresponding author’s signature or official confirmation

The editorial office will process the request after verification.

Manuscript Withdrawal During Review Process

Withdrawal requests submitted during the peer review or editorial evaluation process will be carefully considered.

Authors should avoid withdrawing manuscripts without valid and reasonable academic or ethical grounds because the review process involves significant time and effort from editors and reviewers.

The journal reserves the right to decline unreasonable withdrawal requests during advanced stages of review.

Manuscript Withdrawal After Acceptance

Withdrawal of manuscripts after acceptance is strongly discouraged because the manuscript has already undergone editorial processing, peer review, copyediting, and publication preparation.

If authors request withdrawal after acceptance, the editorial board may require an official explanation and supporting documentation.

Unethical Withdrawal

The following actions are considered unethical:

  • Withdrawing manuscripts without notification
  • Submitting the same manuscript simultaneously to multiple journals
  • Requesting withdrawal after publication preparation without valid reasons
  • Ignoring editorial communication during the review process

Such actions may result in:

  • Temporary restriction on future submissions
  • Notification to the authors’ institution when necessary
  • Other editorial actions according to publication ethics standards

Editorial Rights

The journal reserves the right to continue, suspend, or terminate the editorial process in accordance with publication ethics and editorial policies.

Ethical Commitment

The Journal of Foreign Language and Educational Research supports responsible scholarly communication and encourages authors to maintain professionalism and academic integrity throughout the publication process.
