Pengaruh Intradialytic Exercise Menggunakan Pedal Exercise terhadap Kekuatan Otot Ekstremitas Bawah pada Pasien Gagal Ginjal Kronis di Ruang Hemodialisis RSUD OKU Timur

Xkmk Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) atau penyakit gagal ginjal kronik merupakan kondisi yang terjadi karena penurunan kemampuan ginjal dalam mempertahankan keseimbangan di dalam tubuh. Pasien CKD yang menjalani hemodialisis berisiko tinggi mengalami penurunan kekuatan otot ekstremitas bawah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh intradialytic exercise menggunakan pedal exercise terhadap kekuatan otot ekstremitas bawah pada pasien gagal ginjal kronis di ruang hemodialisis RSUD OKU Timur. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif pre-Eksperimen dengan desain one group pre and post test design. Populasi berjumlah 96 pasien dan sampel sebanyak 30 responden yang diambil dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Manual Muscle Testing (MMT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai median kekuatan otot sebelum intervensi sebesar 2,5 (SD 0,509; min–maks 2–3) dan sesudah intervensi sebesar 4,0 (SD 0,681; min–maks 3–5). Uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test memperoleh nilai p = 0,000 (p < 0,05) dengan nilai Z = -4,964, menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan intradialytic exercise menggunakan pedal exercise terhadap kekuatan otot ekstremitas bawah. Disarankan mengintegrasikan program ini ke dalam standar operasional prosedur (SOP) ruang hemodialisis sebagai bagian dari asuhan keperawatan komprehensif.
ABSTRACT
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a condition that occurs due to a decrease in the kidneys' ability to maintain balance within the body. CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis are at high risk of experiencing decreased lower extremity muscle strength. This study aimed to determine the effect of intradialytic exercise using pedal exercise on lower extremity muscle strength in patients with chronic kidney failure in the hemodialysis unit of RSUD OKU Timur. This study was a quantitative pre-experimental study using a one group pre and post test design. The population was 96 patients and the sample consisted of 30 respondents selected using the Purposive Sampling technique. The instrument used was Manual Muscle Testing (MMT). The results showed a median muscle strength value before intervention of 2.5 (SD 0.509; min–max 2–3) and after intervention of 4.0 (SD 0.681; min–max 3–5). The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test obtained a p-value = 0.000 (p < 0.05) with a Z value = -4.964, indicating a significant effect of intradialytic exercise using pedal exercise on lower extremity muscle strength. It is recommended to integrate this program into the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the hemodialysis unit as part of comprehensive nursing care.
