The Role Of Chatgpt In Academic Decision-Making Among Students In The Public Administration Program: A Literature Review
Abstract
Perkembangan kecerdasan buatan, khususnya ChatGPT, telah membawa perubahan signifikan dalam dunia pendidikan tinggi, termasuk pada program studi Ilmu Administrasi Negara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran ChatGPT dalam mendukung pengambilan keputusan akademik mahasiswa Program Studi Ilmu Administrasi Negara. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan mengkaji berbagai sumber ilmiah yang diterbitkan dalam rentang tahun 2019 hingga 2024. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa ChatGPT berperan sebagai alat bantu dalam proses pencarian informasi, penyusunan tugas akademik, pemahaman konsep kebijakan publik, serta perencanaan studi. Penggunaan ChatGPT memberikan kemudahan akses terhadap sumber pengetahuan yang relevan, namun juga menimbulkan kekhawatiran terkait akurasi informasi, ketergantungan teknologi, dan integritas akademik. Temuan ini menggambarkan perlunya kebijakan penggunaan kecerdasan buatan yang terintegrasi dalam kurikulum pendidikan administrasi negara.
ABSTRACT
The development of artificial intelligence, particularly ChatGPT, has brought significant changes to higher education, including in Public Administration study programs. This study aims to analyze the role of ChatGPT in supporting academic decision-making among students of the Public Administration Study Program. The method employed is a literature review examining various scientific sources published between 2019 and 2024. The findings indicate that ChatGPT serves as a tool in the process of information retrieval, academic task completion, understanding of public policy concepts, and study planning. The use of ChatGPT provides easier access to relevant knowledge sources; however, it also raises concerns regarding information accuracy, technological dependence, and academic integrity. These findings highlight the need for artificial intelligence usage policies integrated into the public administration education curriculum.
