Analisis Pendapatan Usaha Ayam Kampung Unggul Balai Penelitian Ternak (KUB) Di Desa Padende Kecamatan Marawola Kabupaten Sigi

Abstract

Ayam Kampung Unggul Balitnak (KUB) chicken is one of Indonesia's local poultry genetic innovations with advantages in egg production, disease resistance, and adaptability to tropical environments. Sigi Regency, particularly Padende Village in Marawola District, is one of the potential areas for the development of Ayam Kampung Unggul Balitnak (KUB) chicken farming. This study aimed to analyze the income generated from Ayam Kampung Unggul Balitnak (KUB) chicken farming in Padende Village. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed, with primary data collected through observation and interviews involving eight farmers selected purposively. Data were analyzed using production cost, revenue, and income calculation formulas. The results showed that the total production cost incurred by the farmers was IDR 24,083,649, while total revenue reached IDR 49,950,000, resulting in a net income of IDR 25,866,351 per production cycle. These findings indicate that Ayam Kampung Unggul Balitnak (KUB) chicken farming in Padende Village is economically feasible and profitable. The study suggests that the development of Ayam Kampung Unggul Balitnak (KUB) chicken farming has the potential to increase farmers' income and may serve as a promising business alternative in the smallholder livestock sector.
