Focus and Scope

Focus of PROMOTIF: Jurnal Kesehatan Masyarakat is on public health as discipline and practices related to preventive and promotive measures to enhance health of the public through scientific approach applying variety of technique. This focus includes area and scope such as biostatistics, epidemiology, health education and promotion, health policy and administration, environmental health, public health nutrition, sexual and reproductive health, and occupational health and safety.

The journal employs peer-review mechanism where each submited article should be anonimously reviewed by expert peers appointed by the editor. Articles published in this journal could be in form of original article and invited review article.

Peer Review Process

PROMOTIF: The Journal of Public Health published the only paper strictly following PROMOTIF guidelines and template for preparation manuscript. All submitted manuscripts are going through a double-blind peer review process. Those papers are read by editorial members (upon field of specialization) and will be screened by Managing Editor to meet necessary criteria of PROMOTIF publication. Manuscripts will be sent to two reviewers based on their historical experience in reviewing manuscript or based on their field of specialisation. PROMOTIF has reviewing forms in order to keep same items reviewed by two reviewers. Then editorial board make a decision upon the reviewers comments or advice. Reviewers give their assessment on originality, clarity of presentation, contribution to the field/science, PROMOTIF has three kind of decisions:

  • Accepted, as it is
  • Accepted by Minor Revisions (let authors revised with stipulated time)
  • Accepted by Major Revisions (let authors revised with stipulated time)
  • Rejected (generally, on grounds of outside of scope and aim, major technical description problems, lack of clarity of presentation)

For checking Plagiarism, PROMOTIF Editorial Board will screen plagiarism with using Plagiarism Checker X Program. If it is found plagiarism indication (above 30%), editorial board will reject manuscript immediately.

Before publishing, it is required to obtain written confirmation from authors in order to acquire copyrights for papers published in the journal. The undersigned hereby represents and warrants that the paper is original and that he/she is the author of the paper, except for material that is clearly identified as to its original source, with permission notices from the copyright owners where required. The undersigned represents that he/she has the power and authority to make and execute this assignment. This agreement is to be signed by at least one of the authors who have obtained the assent of the co-author(s) where applicable.

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

All articles published Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download.  We are continuously working with our author communities to select the best choice of license options,

Publication Charges

Manuscript Handling fee

Authors are charged a handling fee of $ 21,6 (300,000 IDR) for each accepted manuscript in PROMOTIF: Jurnal Kesehatan Masyarakat.

Readers can read and download any full-text articles for free of charge.

Payment of Manuscript Handling Fee

Once a manuscript has been accepted, the corresponding author will be contacted to make the necessary payment of the manuscript handling fee. Kindly note that on the manuscript management system, the payment option is only enabled for manuscripts that have been accepted for publication.

 

Authorship and Plagiarism

Authorship of articles should be limited to those who have contributed sufficiently to take public responsibility for the contents. These contributions include (a) conception and design, analysis and interpretation of data, or both; (b) drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content; (c) final approval of the version to be published; and (d) agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work by ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved. Submission to PROMOTIF: Jurnal Kesehatan Masyarakat is interpreted by the journal to mean that all the listed authors have agreed with all of the articles content. The corresponding (submitting) author is responsible for having ensured that this agreement has been reached, and for managing all communication between the journal and co-authors before and after publication. Any requests for changes to the author list after submission, such as a change in the order of the authors, or the deletion or addition of authors needs to be accompanied by a letter signed by all original authors. The letter should be scanned and e-mailed to jurnal.pjkm.fkm.ump@gmail.com or editorpromotif@gmail.comby the submitting author. The PROMOTIF: Jurnal Kesehatan Masyarakat editors assume that on multi-group collaborations, one member of each collaboration, usually the most senior member of each submitting group has accepted responsibility for the contributions to the manuscript from their team.

It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to ensure that:

  1. The article is an original work and does not involve fraud, fabrication, or plagiarism.
  2. The article has not been published previously and is not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. If accepted by the PROMOTIF: Jurnal Kesehatan Masyarakat, the article will not be submitted for publication to any other journal.
  3. The article contains no defamatory or unlawful statements and does not contain any materials that infringe upon individual privacy, proprietary rights, or any statutory copyright.
  4. They have written permission from owners for any excerpts from copyrighted works that are included and have credited the sources from where they were obtained.
  5. All authors have made significant contributions to the study including the conception and design of the article, the analysis of the data, and the writing of the manuscript.
  6. All authors have reviewed the manuscript, take responsibility for its content and approve its publication.
  7. All authors are aware of and agree to the terms of this publishing agreement.
